About Salūs

Made with care. Held to a standard.

Salūs is built at the point where psychology meets lived practice. Every session is made to feel clear, steady, and worth returning to.

Family built Psychology led Practice tested
The point

The table where Salūs comes together.

Every session starts here — where the whole team comes together. Postgraduate psychology and thirty-five years of practice shape the work; the voices then carry it. Nothing ships until it has passed through all of us.

The useful question was never "can we make this sound relaxing?" It was: would we trust this when someone is anxious, grieving, exhausted, angry, or awake in the dark?

The rule

If the work does not hold up academically and practically, it does not ship.

The team

A small team you can put a name to.

Salūs is made by a handful of people, not a content farm. Two shape the work; a chosen few lend their voices to it. Here's who.

Who makes it

Ella, content lead
Content lead · Psychology

Ella

BSc (Hons) & MSc Psychology, University of Leeds

Ella leads the content. Her psychology training sets the frame for every session — what the evidence supports, where the limits sit, and how each claim is allowed to be worded. She reads the research so listeners don't have to, and pulls anything that overpromises before it gets near a recording.

Scott

35 years of mindfulness & wellbeing practice

Scott founded Salūs after thirty-five years of mindfulness and wellbeing practice. He's the test for whether a session actually lands for a real person in a real moment — anxious, grieving, exhausted, or awake at 3am — not just whether it reads well on paper. If it feels hollow, it goes back.

The voices you'll hear

Becky, narrator

Becky Lane

Meditation & mindfulness

Warm and clear, with an unhurried steadiness. Becky carries the daytime sessions — meditation, mindfulness and the breathing work — where the point is to settle and reset, not to send you under. She's the voice for a busy mind that still needs to get on with its day.

Charles, narrator

Charles Holt

Sleep stories

Low, slow and spacious. Charles is tuned for the dark — a deliberately gentle cadence, paced with long pauses so the story has room to breathe. He's there to be left behind: most listeners never hear how their story ends, which is exactly the idea.

Marco, narrator

Marco Vella

Guided & grounding

Grounded and even, with the same weight on every line. Marco anchors the guided and grounding work — the sessions you reach for when things feel shaky and you need something solid to hold. Present without pushing, steady when the moment isn't.

New voices

Eleanor Vance, narrator

Eleanor Vance

Wind-down & evening

Warm and unhurried, with a low steady ease — the slow exhale at the end of a long day, where the only task is to loosen your grip and let the hours go soft.

Claire Beaumont, narrator

Claire Beaumont

Daytime resets

Clear and grounding, present without weight — a few minutes to come back to the breath and carry on steadier than before.

Saoirse Quinn, narrator

Saoirse Quinn

Settling & calm

Soft and spacious, with room between every line — lets a busy mind settle on its own time, never pushed.

Maya Hart, narrator

Maya Hart

Hard nights & comfort

Tender and reassuring, steady when things aren't — for grief, worry, and the 3am wide-awake, present and calm without ever overpromising.

Hannah Brooks, narrator

Hannah Brooks

Focus & morning

Bright and intentional, gently sure — turns a scattered mind toward something clear and worth doing.

Naomi Cole, narrator

Naomi Cole

Calm & uplifting

Bright and easy, a light unforced calm — clear-voiced and warm, the kind of session you reach for in daylight.

Mei Tan, narrator

Mei Tan

Sleep & ASMR

Hushed and close, almost a whisper — soft enough to dissolve into, paced so the words fade before the night does.

Marcus Hale, narrator

Marcus Hale

Sleep stories

Deep and even, the classic talk-you-down voice — long inductions with room to drift.

David Okafor, narrator

David Okafor

Hypnotic & inductions

Measured and quiet, unspooling slowly — long pauses, no urgency, draws you down by degrees.

Daniela Rosso, narrator

Daniela Rosso

Sleep stories

A gentle storyteller, turning a night into quiet scenes — where the point is the journey, not the ending most never hear.

Thomas Reed, narrator

Thomas Reed

Gentle wind-downs

Soft-spoken and slow, a bedtime-story hush — plain, warm, and easy to come back to.

Ingrid Sølvberg, narrator

Ingrid Sølvberg

Affirmations & guided

Calm and melodic, light on its feet — gentle guided work where each line lands softly and asks nothing.

The making

Four gates before anything goes live.

This is the discipline behind the Library, the app, and every minute of audio.

01

Evidence gives it shape.

The content starts with psychology, clear limits, and careful claims.

02

Plain words under pressure.

If a tired listener has to decode it, it gets rewritten.

03

Practice catches the false notes.

It has to feel steady in the body, not merely correct on paper.

04

Quiet enough to return to.

The tone stays spacious, steady, and easy to come back to.

Guidelines we follow

Held to recognised standards.

We don't make it up as we go. Our content is built to align with established psychology and public-health guidance, and every script is run through a compliance check before it ships.

Evidence base

Grounded in published psychology

Techniques follow recognised, evidence-based approaches — mindfulness, CBT-informed and ACT-informed practice — drawn from peer-reviewed literature, not trends.

Public-health guidance

Informed by NHS & NICE wellbeing guidance

Our framing draws on UK public-health guidance for mental wellbeing, including NHS Every Mind Matters principles and NICE guidance on stress, sleep and low mood.

Safe limits

Clear about what we are not

Salūs is wellness content, not therapy, diagnosis or treatment. We stay inside that line, signpost professional help, and never overstate what a session can do.

Every script passes a compliance and liability review for claims, scope and safety before release. Salūs is not a substitute for professional care — read the full disclaimer.

Grounded Psychology sets the frame.

The work begins with evidence, scope, and careful language.

Practical Real life tests the shape.

Each session has to work when attention is thin and the day is heavy.

Human Tone carries the care.

Warmth matters, but it never replaces clarity.

Repeatable A method, not a mood.

The same standard applies across the Library, courses, and tools.
