And Then What Happens
Best for: catastrophic thinking and anxious what-ifs
Catastrophic thoughts tend to stop dead at the worst frame, the moment of impact, and replay there endlessly without ever resolving. In this session you'll practise the CBT decatastrophising technique of asking 'and then what happens?', deliberately following the feared thought past its frozen point and into the realistic next steps that always come after. By letting the story run to completion rather than slamming shut on the worst moment, you teach the mind that even feared outcomes have an afterwards. You'll leave with a practical tool for loosening the loop of anxious what-ifs.

Warm and unhurried, with a low steady ease, the slow exhale at the end of a long day.
