The Odyssey, The Swineherd's Hut
A ragged stranger fed by a poor man who has nothing to spare, and a young man sailing home along a night coast.
Retold for sleep from The Odyssey by Homer, from a public-domain English translation long out of copyright. The story is Homer's; every sentence here is our own.
Tender and reassuring, steady when things aren't, present and calm without ever overpromising.
