Old Friend Drifted

16 min

Best for: grieving a friendship that quietly faded

This meditation makes space for one of life's quietest griefs — the friendship that faded without a fight, without a falling-out, just the slow lengthening of silence between messages. You will practise sitting beside what was with honesty rather than self-blame, using breath and reflection to acknowledge the drift without trying to fix it. The session draws on the image of two boats turning slowly with the tide until they face different horizons. A tender practice for anyone carrying the loss of a friend who is still alive, but no longer close.
