Pour Papa follows Antoine in a mountain refuge after a widow asks him to retrieve the notebook her husband carried before an avalanche. The route is dangerous, the weather is turning, and the request is small only to anyone who has not seen the photograph tucked inside the letter. The story moves slowly through snow judgement, guidecraft, guilt, and the tender weight of bringing one promised thing home.
